What is JHRS?

JHRS stands for The Japan HR Society which is formerly known as The Japan HR Link Network or JHRL. Click here to read more about JHRS' History, Mission and Vision.

Who can join JHRS?

JHRS primarily accepts memberships from any Japan-focused HR professionals worldwide. We also consider business leaders (C-suite level and Senior Manager level and up) doing business in Japan. External 3rd party recruiting professionals are also welcome but subject to more stringent qualification criteria. To learn more if you are qualified to JHRS, please visit our Membership Page.

Who runs JHRS?

Operationally, JHRS is run its Community Officers supported by The JHRS Secretariat. In addition, JHRS actively seeks advice and counsel from its Board of Advisers for strategic concerns.

Where does JHRS gets it financial resources?

Membership dues/fees, online and publications advertisements, and donations.

Is a JHRS a non-profit organization?

Not yet. However, we are in the process of preparing for our NPOship in 2010.

I have been a member of JHRL in the past, does it mean that I am now also a member of JHRS?

Yes. All existing JHRL members as of 31 March 2009 have been automatically converted into JHRS Associate Members (FREE) from 01 April 2009. Nevertheless, Associate Members are highly encouraged to upgrade membership (either as Virtual or Premium) in order to enjoy the full benefits of JHRS membership. I tried to read an article at The HR Agenda - Online Edition but was denied access. Why?

ALL current month's articles are made public (i.e., no access codes required) until the end of the current month. However, if you are trying to access an article and the system prompted you for log-in details, the article you are trying to access has been archived already.
