PART 1: (Jan 22, 2010, 3:00pm~5:30pm):
Crisi Mgr for HR.gif

Did you know that as of end of November 2009, the number of reported cases of H1N1 infections (新型インフルエンザ)  was estimated to have reached at least 12.64 million people and have claimed the lives of nearly 100 people in Japan? Clearly, Japan and the world are in a state of a global pandemic that threatens not only the lives of people but of businesses and companies as well.

To make matters worst, pandemics and outbreaks are not the only crisis situations that people and organizations have to deal with. Earthquakes, tsunamis, and other natural disasters as well as man-made ones such as terrorism or wars are just some examples to name a few.

Faced with these challenges, HR professionals, as custodians of every organization's most important asset---its people---have the professional, moral, and ethical responsibilities (i.e., duty-of-care) to be part of the solution in addressing, responding, and managing crisis situations.

In light of the above, The Japan HR Society has partnered with Human Dynamic Japan, a leading consultancy in people management, to organize and conduct this seminar-workshop on crisis management both for HR and business professionals.

Topics include:
  • Understanding Crisis Management of Pandemic: Managing the Psychological Impact on the Workforce
  • Empowering Your Managers to Respond to Crisis Situations: Building a Resilient Team in the Midst of Changes
  • Bridging the Gap of Corporate Health: Using Health Risk Assessment and Wellness Coaching
A Q&A or panel discussion amongst the speakers and the participants will also follow after the presentations. Various group activities will also be conducted to make this Workshop a truly engaging and learning experience. Download the seminar's brochure here.

PART 2 (Jan 22, 2010, 5:30pm~7:00pm):
The JHRS Shin-nenkai Cocktail Party 2010 @ Grand Hyatt Tokyo!
Celebrate. Network. Connect.

Wow, what a year it has been! Shin^nenkai Image

This year has truly been a challenging year for all of us and amidst all of these, we somehow "survived" Year 2009.

And to help us prepare for the year ahead, JHRS cordially invites you and your friends, associates, colleagues, or even that special someone to the JHRS Shin-nenkai Cocktail Party 2010: Celebrate. Network. Connect. to be held at the same venue and immediately after the above seminar-workshop.

This will be an opportunity to network, connect, and make new friends and acquaintances not only with your HR peers but other business professionals as well. Who knows the new connection or relationship you might develop in this event may serve you well in the coming year.

And that's not all! Aside from the light foods and soft drinks ("cash bar" for alcoholic beverages), we will have some raffle prizes that will surely help you start the year with a bang!
