About the Speaker

Dr. Jack Suyderhoud, PhD

Professor Suyderhoud is the former Acting Dean and Associate Dean of the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii.

His Ph.D. is in Economics from Purdue University. He specializes in government policies and business decisions with an emphasis on Southeast Asia and has published extensively in scholarly journals.

He has received numerous teaching awards and has an active consulting practice. In addition to teaching at the Shidler College and JAIMS, he has taught at other universities in the U.S., Vietnam, Malaysia, France, Germany, and Denmark.
