As lifelong employment falls away and a new generation of perhaps more vocal employees joins the workplace, the need to give and receive feedback as part of performance management is increasing. This course aims to increase the participants' understanding of the purpose for and the two different types of feedback, along with guidelines for when to use them and how to deploy them most effectively in the workplace. We will learn how to motivate and develop others by giving specific feedback, and also how to receive feedback non-defensively, using it to improve our work performance in the future. We will also discuss how culture, age, and gender impact the giving and receiving of feedback. The format for this course will be a mixture of lecture, discussion, skills practice, and role play. This workshop is open to supervisors, managers, executives, and those who are routinely called upon to give and receive feedback to their peers, subordinates, and bosses. Participants should bring at least one "real life" feedback issue to discuss in the workshop.

Course Fee: Y32,000 (10% discount applies if you are a JHRS Premium Member)
