The Effect of Performance Recognition on Employee Engagement

A recent global study on the impact of performance recognition conducted by the Cicero Group found:

  • Employees who receive strong performance recognition are more highly engaged than those who do not.
  • Employees receiving strong recognition generate nearly twice as many innovative ideas each month than those who do not.
  • Recognition is more effective at increasing engagement, performance, and innovation than an additional five percent salary bonus.
