Mr. Kawakami has over 25 years of progressive experience in international business and HR management gained from major global multinational corporations (MNCs). He has worked in the US, UK, Japan, China, and Singapore across various industries such as pharmaceutical, telecommunications, automobile, biotechnology, etc.
In early part of his career, he was involved in cross cultural technology transfer at Stanford University and eventually became one of the founding consultants for a cross cultural consultancy in Palo Alto.
After fulfilling overseas senior manager position for Arthur Andersen, San Francisco and London, Mr. Kawakami started his career in Human Capital Management and Organizational Development focusing on areas such as strategic, product, or organizational changes.
Currently, Mr. Kawakami is based in Singapore as a senior consultant for Anemoni---a consulting firm that develops network organization for knowledge management and performance enhancement.
He gained his BA and MA degrees in Educational Communication from the International Christian University (ICU).
