When organizations source Executive candidates they expect to find someone who is business savvy and a solid leader. Many times, despite your best staffing efforts, you help an organization hire a leader who just does not fit in. Often, they can have trouble adjusting their behavior to the organizational culture or key stakeholders and soon, they pursue an abrasive approach that threatens to sideline high-potentials, other key leaders or customers, and worse, undermine the credibility of the recruiting process.

We will show how staffing teams can influence changing the abrasive Executive through specific approaches that get to the root cause of the problem that:

  • Builds the ability of abrasive leaders to care about the impact of their behavior on others
  • Teaches them the T-A-D dynamic
  • Takes action on and leverages key improvements
  • Provides coaching to the business and employees that can repair the relationship ahead of an HR intervention

The goal is to offer staffing professionals an opportunity to address potential poor hiring decisions early by being more directly involved with the new hire and the business before making a hasty decision to terminate.
