A 28-year-old woman who was fired for allegedly pocketing prizes that were meant for readers is suing her former employer, Tokyo-based
Akita Publishing Co., for 3.3 million yen (approx. $33,200) in
compensation. The woman claims she was fired because she dared to point
out that the manga company was lying about the prizes they were giving away.
