TOKYO — As vice president of Shiseido, Kimie Iwata helps lead one of the biggest cosmetics companies in the world and among Japan's best known brands. She is also a rare female executive in the country, a powerful symbol of both the progress and ongoing struggles of Japanese women in the workplace.
