Employees want to be recognized for their great work—and rewarded for it, too! Recognition and rewards confirm to employees their work is valued. And when employees feel valued, they are happier at their jobs and more productive, which motivates them to keep doing—and improving upon—that great work. Recognition is a major motivator for 78 percent of employees. In addition, 76 percent of employees who are regularly recognized say they love their jobs, while only 37 percent who aren’t being recognized say they do.
