Developing an Inclusive Pronoun Use Policy

In an effort to create a welcome environment for all employees, regardless of gender identity, many employers have begun encouraging—or even requiring—their employees to share their pronouns in places such as email signatures and messaging profiles. While well-intentioned, such efforts can backfire, particularly when implemented in isolation rather than as part of a coordinated strategy.
