The people component of M&A is arguably the most complex and represents the “make or break” attribute of every deal. To ensure employees and leaders are well taken care of, HR needs to get involved early - before any letter of intent is sent out or the deal is inked. When preparing for M&A, HR has at least four roles and three areas of responsibility.
